Dr. Poksay
Dr. Poksay (who was raised in Novato) received his Dental Medicine Doctorate (DMD) from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, and competed his advanced training Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Medical Center in Philadelphia. An active member and past president of the Marin County Dental Society (a component of the American and California Dental Associations), he is also a Fellow Of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Association of Hospital Dentists. Dr. Poksay is also on staff at Petaluma Valley Hospital for the convenient care of individuals needing hospital-based services.
In addition, Dr. Poksay is a Distinguished Mentor at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
Distinguished Mentor
The Kois Center has recognized Dr. Poksay as a Distinguished Mentor – a loyal advisor entrusted with the care and education of others. This mentoring program has enabled many dentists, laboratory technicians, and dental assistants to achieve extraordinary levels.
Dr. Poksay’s selection was based on many factors including the number of years he participated in the program and the courses he attended. In addition to successfully completing the demanding mentor examination, a Distinguished Mentor represents honesty, integrity, and dedication to the center. In addition, Dr. Poksay is recognized for his efforts to inspire others, enhance knowledge, and develop new paradigms while pursuing excellence.
Dr. Lance Rasmussen, D.M.D.
Lance Rasmussen, D.M.D. graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with honors and won the clinical proficiency award from the Tufts Alumni Association. Dr. Rasmussen served two years in the U.S. Army Dental Corp. stationed at Fort Ord, California. After graduating from the U.S. Army Medical Field Service School in San Antonio, Texas he practiced dentistry through the Dental Rotationship Program offered by the U.S. Army at that time. Dr. Rasmussen opened his dental practice in Novato after leaving the service and has been practicing all aspects of General Dentistry for over 30 years. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Marin County Dental Society.
